Let the debates begin. Forget Rowe vs. Wade, Lincoln vs. Douglas. Huxley vs. Wilberforce. Pearson vs. Diefenbaker flag debates or even Gretzky vs. Orr. Nothworthy as they be, we had something else in mind.

Inspired by the 10th anniversary of Naomi Klein's book "No Logo", we are hosting two debates of modern-day brand vs. no brand slug 'em out proportions which goes to the heart of the role and morality of brands in the modern age.

Our first half will consider the debate:

"Be it resolved that brands are even more relevant and powerful in the marketplace than they were a generation ago"

Our second half will consume our hearts and minds with the question:

"Be it resolved that brands are morally questionable and  bad for you, society and culture at large"

It should be great theatrical performance, perspectives that will challenge your beliefs and a great way to learn, network and spend a great night with colleagues in a social and intimate atmosphere.

Expert debaters and panel of judges form both sides of the fence.

After party to be convened - time and palce TBD.

This topic will represent our 28th LOK event (short for the League of Kickass) - A network for leading Canadian business minds and creatives. To join, please provide your membership profile here - The League of Kickass - for business people slightly ahead of their time
